صلیب سنت اندرو

صلیب سنت اندرو نوعی صلیب مورب است که در نوع رومی آن به شکل حرف ایکس می باشد.

A diagonal cross (decussate cross, saltire, St. Andrew's Cross)

در زبان‌های اروپایی به این نوع صلیب Saltire میگویند. ریشه این واژه به sautoir در زبان فرانسه میانی می‌رسد که خود از saltatoria لاتین میانه مشتق شده است.
