شکلات آب‌شده و یک تکه شکلات
اولین کاربرد کلمه شکلات به عنوان رنگ در زبان انگلیسی به سال ۱۷۳۷ میلادی بازمی‌گردد.[3]
این رنگ در واقع مشابه پرکاربردترین نوع شکلات یعنی شکلات شیری است.
