- The film's distribution rights were purchased by The Jim Henson Company from ITC Entertainment in August 1984.[1] The film rights were then transferred to استودیوهای والت دیزنی upon their شرکت والت دیزنی's acquisition of the Muppets franchise in 2004.[2] Currently, یونیورسال استودیوز، due to prior contractual obligations with the former Associated Film Distribution and ITC, handles theatrical distribution, but the film’s ownership and copyright stands with شرکت والت دیزنی، and current home media releases label the film as a والت دیزنی پیکچرز presentation.
