جابه‌جایی کروموزومی آینه‌ای میان کروموزوم‌های ۸ و ۱۲ سبب تشدید بیان این آنزیم در آدنوم چندشکلی غدد بزاقی می‌گردد.[5]

پروتئین PLAG1 با مولکول KPNA2، تعامل پروتئین-پروتئین دارد.[6]
